2011 – The year for all of us to make a difference

Hi All,
Greetings and good wishes for a groovy 2011.  I trust everyone had a relaxing festive season.

With the ringing in of a New Year comes with it a new Station Commissioner.  Colonel E Lebeko has been transferred to the Vaal region.  In her place we have been extremely lucky to receive the Station Commissioner from Fairlands SAPS – Colonel K R Mochela.  So a warm welcome must be given to him and we wish him all the best in his position at the helm of our police station.

Colonel Mochela was in the same position at Fairlands since 2005 and will be missed by his station.  As we will miss the presence of Colonel Lebeko.  She served us well during my tenure within the CPF and it is sad to see her go.  We will forge a new relationship with Colonel Mochela, one which is effective and respectful of each of our roles within the community.

The NCPF will be giving him our full support as he begins to take control at Norwood SAPS.  We hope for an excellent 2011 and one that sees criminal activity decrease.

Please remember that the Norwood CPF public meeting will be held on the 26th January 2011 at the Norwood SAPS Barracks Boardroom. 18:00 or 6pm.

This is your official invite to come and get involved and to meet Colonel Mochela (the -ch- in his surname is pronounced as in Charlie and the -e- as one would say Elephant).
We will give a breakdown of the crime that has occurred over the Festive season and discuss plans for 2011.

We wish you all the blessings that this New year brings with it.
From the Norwood CPF.
